About Us
Imageprince was set up to showcase the work of photographer Debbie Prince. ABIPP.
Debbie Prince
Debbie Prince, formally Debbie White, trained in photography in Salisbury, UK in the mid 80's. After graduating she did her apprenticeship working for a large in house studio for a 'Kays' catalogue, a subsidiary of Great Universal Stores. This training gave Debbie solid experience with industry professional equipment, working with 5x4 inch to 10 x 8 inch camera formats, complex studio techniques, creating images with and for graphics professionals and working to hard and fast deadlines. She was also responsible for public relations material due to her amiable disposition.
The Botanic Garden in Edinburgh became Debbie's next post and provided a perfect environment for her to expand her skills beyond the studio and into the field. As advocate for nature, Debbie thoroughly enjoyed working for and alongside scientist and horticulturists passionate about their area of expertise and, in her post as 'Photographer' learned a great deal about horticulture and botanical communities around the world. Here at RBGE she was not only called upon to photograph plants but also public relations materials, important RBGE events and photographic education for those scientists and horticulturists on their way to far flung areas of the world to document their finds.
In 2004 Debbie followed the path of John Muir all the way from Dunbar, Scotland and came to live in California with her family. It was inevitable that she started exploring the magnificent State and National Parks within striking distance of her California home. These areas of outstanding National beauty that first stirred the passions of immigrants such as the young John Muir now capture the eye and the heart of this Latter-day follower in Muir's footsteps.
Debbie is passionate about illustrating natural beauty and has specific expertise in botanical photography. She enjoys sharing her skills and the cross flow of creative ideas.
